Police Apprehend Notorious Bandit, Nasiru Mohammed, Known as ‘Danger,’ in Abuja
In a significant breakthrough, law enforcement authorities have captured a notorious bandit identified as Nasiru Mohammed, also known as ‘Danger,’ in the Jibi forest bordering the Dei-dei area of Abuja. This arrest was made on Saturday, as revealed by Josephine Adeh, a superintendent of police and the spokesperson for the command, in a statement issued on Monday in Abuja.
The operation was conducted based on credible intelligence indicating that Mallam Danyaboi and his gang, who were associated with Nasiru Mohammed, were planning a retaliatory attack in Zuba and its vicinity. Nasiru Mohammed, alias ‘Danger,’ had previously been arrested and paraded by the Police Command on March 11, 2024, in connection with a series of kidnappings in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).
The FCT Police Command carried out the raid on the kidnappers’ hideout in the Jibi forest on March 23, 2024, at approximately 06:00 AM. Upon the arrival of the police operatives, the bandits attempted to flee their hideouts to evade arrest. However, the law enforcement team managed to recover firearms and cattle from the camp.
This operation underscores the continued efforts of the FCT Police Command to combat banditry in the region and ensure the safety and security of residents.
