Mohbad: Sam Larry is in our custody – Police
The Lagos police have confirmed that music promoter Balogun Eletu, also known as ‘Sam Larry,’ is currently in custody and cooperating with the ongoing investigation into the death of 27-year-old singer Ilerioluwa Aloba, popularly known as Mohbad.
The spokesperson for the command, SP Benjamin Hundeyin, shared this information on his verified Twitter handle @BenHundeyin. Hundeyin did not specify whether Sam Larry was arrested or voluntarily came forward, stating only that he is assisting with the ongoing investigation.
Mohbad passed away on September 12 and was laid to rest on September 13, but his body was exhumed on September 21 for an autopsy. Following Mohbad’s death, numerous fans and celebrities in various states protested on the streets, demanding justice and expressing suspicions that there might be more to the singer’s death than what was initially apparent.
