JUST IN: Court suspends Ganduje as APC chairman

“Kano State High Court Grants Ex Parte Order Suspending APC National Chairman, Abdullahi Ganduje Over Corruption Allegations”

“The Kano State High Court has issued an ex parte order suspending the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Abdullahi Ganduje, amidst corruption allegations. This follows the leadership of the APC at Ganduje ward of Dawakin Tofa Local Government’s decision to suspend the former governor over corruption charges.

Despite the state-level APC’s move to void the suspension and pledge to sanction those involved, the court’s order bars Mr. Ganduje from representing himself as an APC member and presiding over any NWC affairs. It also directs all parties to maintain the status quo ante belum until the hearing and determination of the substantive suit on April 30.

The order underscores the legal complexities surrounding party governance and disciplinary actions, amidst internal disputes within the APC.”
