Nigerian Military kills 151 terrorists, apprehends 456 others in 2 weeks – DHQ

The Defence Headquarters of Nigeria has reported significant successes by the Armed Forces of Nigeria in recent operations against insurgents and terrorists across the country. According to the Director of Defence Media Operations, Maj.-Gen. Edward Buba, over the last two weeks, a total of 151 terrorists have been eliminated, and 456 others have been apprehended in various operations.

Here are some key highlights of the operations:

  1. Operation Hadin Kai: Troops neutralized 44 terrorists, arrested 21 suspects, and rescued four kidnapped hostages. They also recovered a substantial number of firearms, including AK47 rifles, locally fabricated rifles, and pistols, as well as a significant amount of ammunition and other items.
  2. Arrests in Borno and Yobe: Suspected terrorists’ collaborators were apprehended in Jere and Biu in Borno State, as well as in Gujba Local Government Area in Yobe State.
  3. Raids and Ambushes: Troops successfully ambushed and raided suspected terrorists’ hideouts in Konduga and Gwoza Local Government Areas of Borno State.

The operations demonstrate the commitment and capability of the Nigerian Armed Forces in countering terrorist activities and securing the nation. These efforts are aimed at restoring peace and stability in regions affected by insurgency and terrorism.
